The goal of “The Book of Salvation” is to make plain and clear exactly what Salvation, the free Gift from Jesus Christ, is all about.
This is the second of a multi-volume series entitled “The Books of Christianity”. Volume II builds on the foundation of Volume I by spending time on God The Son and the mission He was sent down to Earth to fulfill. The book details multiple aspects of Salvation such as what it is, how to obtain it, and what having it protects you from. The latter part of the book goes into great detail about both Heaven and Hell and just who ends up where.
These books are meant to immediately get down to business and as a result they are devoid of any fluff or page filler content. The information is highly condensed and concentrated into a small package so that it can be easily digested in one or two sittings. There is no need to flip through to the “good stuff ” as these volumes are designed to maximize the time to value ratio for your attention. Please enjoy a sample of Chapter 1 of the book:
How wonderful it is to consider that one Name can resound throughout all of humanity’s past, present, and future. One single Name that can bring about complete healing as well as total destruction. One that flows in praise from the mouths of angels, while simultaneously striking fear in the hearts of demons. That glorious Name is none other than Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior of the world!
As we learned in the last book of the series, Jesus Christ has always existed as God The Son in The Holy Trinity that He shares with God The Father and God The Holy Spirit. After the creation of humanity, sin quickly entered into the world and began to utterly corrode God’s perfect creation.
There was no doubt that humanity was in serious trouble as Satan viewed them as a weapon that could be wielded against God for his own selfish purposes. By implementing his plan to get humanity to simultaneously disobey God and expose themselves to the knowledge of good and evil, Satan had effectively opened up humanity to a path of destruction that they were never meant to follow.
Even though his exploits seemed a success, Satan could not have possibly known at the time of this incident that God already had a secret rescue mission planned in order to save humanity for Himself in case they ever fell away. You see while the angelic host was indeed created by God, humans actually carried the very breath of the Lord in their bodies, and were created in His Image, Genesis 2:7 & Genesis 1:26. This meant that even though humanity could not freely access Heaven and go about their duties face to face with God as the angels did, they shared an extremely special and unique bond with God that the angels did not.
The one caveat to this bond was that if humanity ever sinned, they would inadvertently separate themselves from God while still having been made in His Image and containing His Breath of Life. This meant that they would require some type of special restoration effort to reconcile them back to God but without the stain of sin that would contaminate them all. Since every sin is an offense against The Infinitely Holy God, each one has to be paid for in full. Unfortunately, the wages of sin is death and the place for sin to be paid is Hell, Romans 6:23 & Matthew 25:41.
This also serves to explain why the angels do not qualify nor need this special type of reconciliation, as there are no Bible verses that explicitly say that they carry The Breath of the Lord within themselves or are made in His Image. For them, their closeness to God, their knowledge of Him and His ways, and the freedom from dwelling in physical bodies as spiritual beings are enough reasons that no sin should ever be found within them in any capacity. Can you now begin to imagine how dire of a situation that an angel who actually committed a sin would find themselves in?
